No house alarm, no ghost system..i can't understand how some people think. Its a sad world and unfortunately you have to think about security first before buying such things, hope the scumbags get caught

A house alarm will tell you that someone has broken into your house.
A dog will tell you that they’re outside thinking about it

It was posted on Facebook a couple of days ago.

Armed robbery split between four guys doing 5 yrs each when they get caught, or go to work 20k a year times 5years 100k minus 25taxes is 75 remaining. Could have bought one and spared the family the heartache.

1 or 2 German Sheppards should do a good job and kids can ride on the backs of them while waiting for the next set of burglars

What an absolute ****ing 'tard. I was going to say some of the comments on the news site were a bit harsh (going on about how much money he has at 28(?) years old, no security, etc) and then I watch this.

I'm not saying he deserved it, but my levels of "sympathy" are greatly reduced! No excuse for driving like an utter ****. I'd have hit him in the lorry tbh!

Could you explain how the Ghost system would work in the event of a break in and the thieves have the car keys?

The Ghost system requires the driver to input a unique code which the owner would have selected using existing buttons on the steering wheel or paddle shift, without this code sequence being input, the car simply will not start.

In the invent of a break in, Iím sure most home/car owners would want the thieves to vanish as quick as possible, the thought of them returning and possibly causing physical harm to retrieve that code from the owner isnít worth thinking about.

It has its advantages for sure but a break in and being held hostage are a unique set of circumstances. I see on Facebook many are suspecting itís an inside/insurance job.

I'd just give them the Valet mode code. This would allow them to drive off put after about a mile all sorts of crazy would happen.

Keys or no keys car ain't been driven away (if fitted correctly to a high standard) unless they know the unique code (4-20 digits) which you the user has set using the factory buttons in the car or if the thief rips out the entire wiring loom and changes the loom. If the ghost is fitted to a high standard like we do then it'll be very difficult to find and remove. Nothing is impossible but a lot of the ghosts security aspect is in the installation... Better the installation the harder it will be to bypass.

Yes service mode will only allow the car to drive maximum 1 mile or 2 minutes over 30mph which ever comes first then once switched off it won't start again until the unique driver chosen code is enterd, this one of the reasons i always recommend some type of tracker to be fitted to the vehicle because then you or the police can locate it fairly quickly.

Just seen the video posted.

What a f’ing tool. Talk about giving the badge a bad name, also what a twat number plate.

Despite his prick behaviour it’s another statistic of car crime we could all do without.
