Shopping for a 17+ Track Edition

Hi all,

First post here, long time lurker over the years but I am now seriously looking to purchase a MY17 onwards track edition and in around 4-6 weeks time I will hopefully be in a position to do so. In an ideal world it would be great to find a LM Track Edition but I think they are even rarer!

I have only come across 2 used examples for sale whilst having a browse,

This one's a 68 with 3.5k miles @£89,999 but seems to be advertised at what seems like a really steep price - I have had brand new offers on CarWow for £88k so far.
*can't post links yet!*

And this one with Nobles in Scotland with 34k miles £67,995:
*can't post links yet!*

I know there isn't many out there in general, but if anyone on here has a TE they'd consider selling in 4-6 weeks time let me know, or if there is anywhere else I should be looking other than the usual AutoTrader, Pistonheads, Ebay etc.

Thanks in advance ,

I think you will find the carwow price relates to the outgoing TE which is no longer available, the MY20 model is somewhat different. I wait to be corrected....

Hey, yes I think you are correct there is a price hike on the horizon, however its still a good comparison vs the guy selling a TE for more than a dealer would have actually charged.

The 68 plate one is a Litchfield tuned Track Edition with a Topaz Expel self healing PPF applied.

The Track Edition by Nismo are even rarer than a full Nismo so represent great value for money.

The MY20 (2020 edition) has a fair price hike and by all means get one from CarWow, but be prepared to never receive it at the price quoted or within the time span.

Carwow are still showing the MY19 TE which was £95,060 base price.

The new MY20 TE is £99,995 base and has more options available including carbon roof and brakes.

I had ordered a MY19 TE via Carwow but will be getting a MY20 and was lucky enough to get it price protected by Nissan at the MY19 price so £13k discount all in.

If I had £100k to spend, I wouldn’t spend it on a Nissan rot box
Get a proper car for that sort of money

They're not the same, just a rear seat delete and different front seats but otherwise a standard GTR. Only the track editions MY17+ are Nismo shells in effect.

Are you saying the early track packs just have seat delete?

Nissan introduced the Track Pack option for the GT-R in 2012. For another £10,000 over the standard car, the Track Pack features firmer springs, lighter Nismo wheels and improved brake cooling. Nissan has also removed the rear seats, saving a total of 20kg when combined with the new alloys.

taken from here

The front seats were in a blue colour with "stickier" fabric too.

The track pack certainly doesn’t have the shell improvements of the track edition. It was seats, wheels and an extra duct basically, with stiffer springs, which apparently makes them ride very hard on the road.
