Wanting a R34 GTR V-spec

Hey guys, im new to this site and just wanted to say hi to you all and i will look forward to all the help i will hopfully get off this site.
Well At the moment i drive a Seat Leon CupraR, and i am now getting bored of it and i am now looking at buying one of my dream cars since i was younger. An R34 GTR V-spec.
Now i dont have that much money, so i can really only push my budget to around 25k but would like one for less, what do you think is my chances of getting one (that runs) for that price. now i did see one for 15k down south, but im not too sure of what state it could be in.
ta for all your help in advance.
scott

Hello & welcome to the forum.
If you want a honest answer for the above then you've caught the eye of one of the most honest members on here!

If you have 25K to spend on a 34 then you know it's not going to be a very good one is it?
You'll probably find that if you do buy one at this price or below you're going to have to spend a bit of hard earned cash on it to bring it back up to being a healthy respectable looking car again.
What i'm getting at is if you have 25K to spend on a car you don't buy a 25K car, you buy a 20K car instead as there's always something you'll most probably have to do to it & if you're unlucky you may end up spending way too much on it than you expected.

Look what happened to poor Nozza1 in this Thread here: https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/73...gtr-vspec.html

If I were you i'd save a little bit more money & buy a nicer example, oh & get it checked out for definate!

When you do finally own one you will begin to understand the cost of owning one & realise that you will have to what they call "step up the pace in life" & earn more money to fund this addiction.
It's all part of growing up I suppose?

(A bit like having kids & knowing that you have to work your testicles off to give them a good life or other people start slaging you down saying you shouldn't have done it if you can't hack it! BTW. Only the men with kids will understand where i'm comming from )

Hope this helps your decision

As for the Cheap 34 down south, it's a SCAM! Check this thread: https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/86...stonheads.html

Xmas present for your girlfriend!

How much do you want to spend on her man? You got 25K there!!!

She's already your girlfriend, no need to impress her even more fella!

Wait til your girlfriend ends up being your wife like mine, now the only xmas present she ever gets is that same old Sausage

Hey man there's a 2000 GTR VSpec (silver with Volks alloys) 88000kms (55000 miles) for sale here in NZ. They are wanting $56000 so you can convert to GBP and freight to the chilly north and still have change from your 25k.

Here's the link if you wanna check it out

Cool

Watch these internet scammers though, I was chasing a 1965 Ferrari for sale ex USA. The guy was asking $35000, (estimated market value 200-250k) saying it was urgent sale because he had to rush to Europe on business. I asked him where I could view it, and he said it was locked in a warehouse in California, he was only person with access and he was in Switzerland.

I told him for a 10% fee, I would fly to Switzerland, get the key off him, fly to California and sell it for him at 5 times the price! Never heard back!

For 15k your looking at a nice R34 GTT, R33 GTR or a very nice spec'd R32 GTR...R34 GTR is well off the radar, for 25k you could get one, but I wouldnt expect a clean, mint car for that.

For 15k you can get a R34 GT-R V-SPEC Grade 4 from Japanese auction, but you still have to pay customs and taxes when you import it to your country(I guess, im not sure about NZ).
You can check the Japanese car auction prices here:
Auction search

These are statistics from the auctions, prices are USD FOB

R34 prices are coming down in a speed

I've had access to a decent R34 GT-R for 20k, as far as i know it's still available. I checked it over myself (i deal in most Jap sports) but my prospective customer let me down so i didn't go ahead with the purchase. If you are a 100% genuine person then i'll put you in touch. I've seen / touched / driven this car and apart from a few marks on 2 of the wheels she's a nice example.
Dave.
ps....she is registered and on the road.

Not sure if I got this correct, but does that mean, You have an R34 NR-SPEC for sale at around 25.000....???

If so, I have cash waiting for You, unless its a 100.000 mile CAT D car....

I have a max of 25k the now and thats including insuring the thing.
To be honest i think i went into this a bit blind and didnt really htink things through.
WHat my new plan is..is to just buy a cheaper car the now like a P1 Impretsa and save up for about 2 years, and by then i should more money and just go and buy an amazing one!
I Think that makes more sense.
Thankyou all again for being helpfull and opening my eyes.
I keep telling myself i must not just fall in love with anyone i see(there could be something lurking under the orgasmic exterior)
Ta all!

Aaahh.. I see.... Didnt realise that...

Well, adding freight + 10% duty/tax and then 17% VAT makes a final price around 33500....

And when importing from a non EU country means, You will run into the ESVA/approval problem....
