hmm wanted to do the same, but have been advised not too, or only in conjunction with a standalone.

AFAIK an otherwise stock GT-R can handle 1 bar just fine, and in a sense, came from the factory tuned and designed to do just that (by Nissan's inclusion of an easily removable and well-marked boost restrictor).

Over 1 bar and the ceramic turbos are at risk. At 1.2 bars you will start running out of injector capacity.

so taking the restrictor out will let me run 1 bar boost? Or do I need a boostcontroller to control it?

i have an r32 gts-t and i have a profec b boost controller on the way too, so i don't need any other mods done to run 1bar? i thought i would need to increase the fueling? with a fuel regulator and a new fuel pump?

yep, and the stock boost controller should be able to keep it more or less under control.
