how comes you bought a lotus??

I drove an Elise 180 recently as was looking.

Was a bucket of crap...I felt like I was going to fall out the side and it had no ooommf at all.
Sticking with the GTR.

I think part of the problem

was the guy at SGT would not let me really push the thing hard...
had to revs the nuts off it to get anywhere and only just touching the limits of the handling...not even able to get it sideways to test the limits.
He could have at least invited me to the lotus track day to see what it can do..

How not to sell to a gtr owner....let's take this track car for a poodle around the corner!!

Cheers Chaps

The Elise is for the wife. We test-drove one of the Mark 2's on Saturday and to be honest I was impressed. It's not a skyline but hey!

Selling the car for £10,000 as it will give someone else the opportunity to buy a nicely tuned car and should they want to do anything else to it (e.g., body kit, cams, nitrous:D ), then they should have some spare dosh.

Definitely enjoyed it, but don't have the time to enjoy it so much any more. Time for the wife to have some fun:)

Cheers Alan, Ian and Steve. I'll try to keep in touch. I may pop to the next grasshopper just to see how people are doing.

Alan - you're more than welcome to have a drive you live me near as it is!

Take care and best wishes,

Stu

ARSE!

Buyer has pulled out at the eleventh hour:(

Word of advice...don't try and buy a Skyline and a house at the same time...its gonna hurt you....

....anyway back to me. Have my eyes on a very tasting GTR so need to shift my baby.

Asking £9000

You know you want it!:D

Ansers

Ryan,

Yes the car is a five speed manual, which is linked to a HKS twin-plate clutch and a lightened flywheel.

As far as mileage goes. Approx 70K. I bought it over 2.5 years ago with approx 40K on the clock. She had a complete engine rebuild in December and has only done approximately 10K since then. the car is in excellent condition and the engine is very sweet and very reliable. Just had the head off for its annual "deep" inspection and everything is puka including the valve guides.

Anyway, don't take my word for it, drive it, it'll speak for itself!

Best wishes,

Stuart

interested

Hi stu, your engine sounds great, it was only the front bumper that was putting me off, but at £7000 i could replace that and maybe a GTR spoiler.
I am looking to buy one and, was going to see nubis's one, but he has probably sold it and yours sounds just what i want.

Also do you know of anywhere that i could get a GTR front bumper and spoiler from?

Very interested in having a look, I'm In cornwall but prepared to travel for something good. Let me know any more info you have and where you are.
