Hi as above, have a question for R34 owners running 19's..

Looking at 2 types of wheels at the moment..

Either:

- Rota Grid 18 x 10 ET15

- Rota Grid 19 x 9.5J ET20 + 10.5J ET20 rears

Iv seen 19s on quite a few of R34s on here, just wondering about handling and how better or worse they might be than 18's?

Also is the weight difference much or not worth worrying about?

As i say my car is never tracked, just fast road.

Cheers

19's are junk for handling and performance.

Leave them to the show ponys and stick with the 18's.

as above with different offsets big no no lol, alot prefer 18" rims as there is more tyre choice for track, im running 19"x10.5" with 275/35/19 all round with out a problem and have plenty of grip for chucking it about on the road

Thanks for your input guys..

Offset's will be the same, i just chose 9.5J width for the front as i thought 10.5J might be overkill and too aggressive aswell as causing rubbing etc.

But if they fit fine, then thats good enough for me.

Just a case of making a decision now.

Sorry to hijack your post but, isn't the "no different offset" thing just for R33 and R34? R32 doesn't have a problem with different offset as far as i know? But please correct me if i'm wrong!

I'm with one for the 18's...

I think I am correct in saying that even the R35 guys drop down a wheel size when racing :)

19's are ok if you only want to poodle about (allbeit with gusto) on the road, but will severely reduce the available steering lock,
and possibly rub on the inner edge of the wheel arches, depending on the ride height of your car, and the number of bodies in the back !

For anything more exciting in the driving department, you'll need to stick with 18's.
