hi guys,

had compression test done one the 95 gtr, all 6 came in at 12 bar.
the other motor 95 v-spec, all 6 came in at 11 bar..

why?

head gasket?

I would guess it had to do with the manufacturing tollerences changing during production (which is normal for mass production)

I was under the impression that it was more important that the compression was even across all cylinders than for it to be close to factory spec (obviously within reason).

no engines are identical, depends on so many different factors, all you need to know is that they are both fine.

because they are two different 14 year old cars!

Sooooo many factors

One has more k's than the other
One has had more oil changes than the other
One has been driven harder than the other

....But as Toby said, They are 14yr old cars, They are never going to wear the same, As long as all 6 cyls are close to the same, you are fine.
