265/35x18 Toyo R888's have a 275mm wide footprint and fit fine on a 9.5 Et20 rim on a R32 GT-R.

cheers

I'm running that setup 275's on 9.5's. I'm running on Tein's and have no problems.
Although i will be getting 265's when they need replacing, just because its the most suited size.

The particular tyre I was looking at not being available in 265. Brian any pictures of you car? What offset do you run?

If it comes down to a specific tyre, they do vary a fair bit in the measured width so you may or may not be fine. As per the 888s my 595RSR are nominally 265/35/18 (on a 9.5 et20 and fit fine) but are actually more like 275 measured. I suspect if they were nominally 275 and therefore more like 285 measured then they would rub.

I got 275x30x19 on 19x10.5 wheels. It goes on ok but when full lock it will touch the arch liner if u have lowered ur car.

I run 265/35R18s, with a 18x9.5+11, definitely needs guard rolling and some thought put into suspension settings, the R32 needs it for wheel travel over bumps and steering lock.
275s should be more 'square' on the rim, so the tyre itself is a good fit.

I went with 265 due to the fact they are more common = cheaper, than my previously used 255/35R18s.

Although brands do vary in width, semi slicks are usually wider than the same size tyre within the brand also

Now you mention it my toyo proxes do seem stretched on my wheel they are 265. Your probably right in that 275 will sit square.

I run 235/45/17's federal RS-r's on nismo lmgt4 wheels and the front left will catch after the main straight at brands. I think it depends how offset the wheels are - the nismos are 9.5 but very offset..

My 265s are square but then again they were 20mm odd wider than the 255 which preceeded them.
