Morning all,

My car: UK R33 GTR V-Spec.

Left home for work today, and after about 50 yards, the "4WD TEMP" light came on. I stopped and thought about it, and decided that it must be talking crap... How could the diff oil be hot after 50 yards? unless there's a small nuclear reactor there to heat it up.

So I decided to plod on regardless. Oddly, the light flickered lots when accelerating medium-hard.

And then, after 10 miles or so, it went out completely and everything is back to normal.

What do we think is the problem? I think the temp sensor is probably f**ked.

Advice needed please

I'd advise you to

... get a garage (Mr Bell?) to have a quick look, they'll tell you whether it's a knackered sensor or something more sinister.

Better than guessing and trying to do it yourself ... I had a TVR ages ago that shagged it's rear diff .. very expensive.

4WD temp light?

Whereabouts is this? Do you mean the amber "4WD" lamp that is on the dash (next to the HICAS one, although I dunno if this is different for V-specs) ?
