Just read up on this and seems like an ideal add on for an OSG 6sp box. Dunno if anyone has used it, but would make life a lot easier on down changes and would be able to do it with out using the clutch as the unit will blip the throttle ensuring smooth down changes.

no one got any views on this?
I have been in touch with the guy's at Proshift it looks like
a good bit of kit but it is a bit over kill for what I need.
the kit comes with a electronic control unit that I do not need
because my Autronic SM4 ecu can do it all for me apart from
the down shifts and I don't need that on my car.

The set up on my box will change gear in 30 milliseconds
I can set my ecu so that it wont change gear till it gets to the revs
that we want it to change at for each individual gear.

I guess this kind of system would be good for road use.. if anythign like or similar to the super smooth SMG from bmw, then its worth having if you have a sequential box.

nice, also like the steering wheel addon :D

I bet the whole kit costs a bit!
Hi ChristianR

the Proshift system for heavier operation sequential gearboxes cost £1595 with button operation or they can also offer titanium paddles if desired at £450. i think this was also plus vat.

if i had about 9k to spare id definately buy an OS box and this system:D especially like the down shift kit, where it auto blips the throttle and down changes.. how cool is that!

Dont you just use a engine cut of 30 milli seconds keith? why do you set it to only allow it to change at a certain rpm?

Like Keith, I've been talking to them too.

The only downside from my point of view would be the solenoid on display.

"The solenoid housing can be mounted in front or behind your gearlever depending on spatial constraints."

I'm not keen on having to cut holes to mount the unit, but it would be ok for a track car etc.
