re:Acrylic windows

anyone fitted these.....?

Can you still use the electric wind up/down when fitting acrylic windows to the doors?

is acrylic easier to break into than glass? [from theives point of view]

Acrylic is lighter than glass and much stronger than toughened glass (wont break with a center punch to the corner
One big problem with acrylic - it does not stay clear for ever as it reacts with uv .Also glass is optically perfect acrylic is not.
So excellent for racing (lighter) but not for road use as it wont seal as well either as its flexible
I say this for certain as I have a consrvatory business unless of course someones perfected this suddenly without telling the glass industry

It also scratches easier.

there is a company in tamworth that makes Lexan windscreens and can put heating elements in them if you want to do away with your heater.
