Chaps/ladies

I have had no end of issues with the aftersales of my GTR. Servicing and Conceierge constantly make mistakes which has led to many frustrated hours and days.

Final straw has now occurred. They have had my car for 2 weeks to fix a speaker. Yes 2 weeks. I got the call today to say it was on its way to me on the transporter and would be with me. 1 hour after the delivery time,no car.
It appears the car was never collected and was never actually on a transporter.

I am now left asking myself is the car fit for purpose? Do I actually want to continue with this situation.

Thoughts?

Hi.

What HPC are you using? Did you get a loan car? What is the reason given for the delay? Should be a straight swap. Have your problems been with Nissan GB or your HPC? To be honest a speaker failure isn't going to
be a strong case for a "lemon" type claim.

The issue seems more with customer communication than with the car. I must admit I've never used the pick up facility.

p.s. just read your other earlier posts and it all seems related to your HPC. Are you stuck with just the one dealer?

Yes, Name and shame the HPC that is appalling customer service.
You can check all the speakers are working seperately by getting into the diagnostic mode on the mfd

Whippy, I agree with Waltong a speaker failure is not grounds to reject the goods. Two weeks for a speaker over the christmas break doesn't seem to unreasonable to me, fustrating yes, unreasonable no. Could you not continue to use the car whilst waiting for the new part?

My head unit failed - My HPC did a fault check over the phone. I sent them a picture of the fault screen to confirm and they have ordered the replacement part.

When it gets in they will call me to get my car - that is how it is supposed to work.

My HPC is Westover and they are the best dealer I have ever bought a car from.

I had the same issue with car on the transporter and not being loaded but it was Nissan UK and the docks and not my HPC - they went mad at having to let me down and my car turned up 48 hours later - the GTR Tech at Westover even came in on his day off to PDI the car for me.

Awesome.

Wow. I can only say my experience has been the exact opposite. Services has been ever so slightly over-the-top good and full of good friendly advice. On my way to collect it, I got stuck on a train and Steve at JFE at Exeter stayed late, kept the dealer open the day his wife was due to give birth. Then, he called back from the pub his parts manager to open up so I could collect my Car Cover and I left there about 8pm… after he got the “where the hell are you” call from his wife!
ABOVE the call of duty… quite a difference!

Whippy.

Having checked your other posts (all of which relate to poor service from your HPC) not once have you responded to any request for your HPC details? How can you expect the forum to help?

You think thats poor service!!!
Prepare...

I was told i could have the "Cancelled order" the next day, 7 weeks later due to massive incompetence i collected...

i arranged a test drive once the deposit was taken, only to arrive at the dealership to find the GTR chap was on a day off! only by chance someone else hadn't turned up and i took his place with another guy who new nothing about my appointment.

Deposit lost within the dealership, 3.5k, then re-taken. returned after 3 weeks.

phone calls not returned, e mails not returned, then.. i get a snotty e mail from the sales guy roasting ME for escalating the inefficiencies of the dealership to the dealer principal.

tracker paperwork lost.

Tracker not set up with Cobra.

it was only because i was told by the HPC who serviced my car (not the HPC who i bought from) to inform Cobra that my car was moving on a transporter, i forgot and when nobody called me then i called them, " i am sorry Mr .... we have no record of your car"!! 3 effin weeks after ownership!!

i called the HPC back and was then told the paperwork was lost with the contact details on but not to worry as the tracker was registered with Cobra but if it was stolen then Cobra would ring the HPC. I said that was great as long as my car was stolen during working hours and not at night when they are closed!

Courtesy car delivered when my car was collected but wouldn't leave the keys because i hadn't left my drivers license behind, which i wasn't told to do. my wife had a clean license but they wouldn't accept that. Useless car sat on my drive for 2 days until Nissan rang me to see if i was happy with the concierge service! as you can imagine i had a few things to say. They came the next day to collect it. I was now without a car.

They repeatedly asked for the original copy insurance to tax the car which i had sent but they lost, (they did find it again)

Informed me prior to Christmas that they couldn't do the Optimization service until 4th Jan, when i asked what i should do with my car over christmas as i was currently at 1000 miles i was informed that its okay to do 1500,1600,1700 upto 3000 miles and it will be okay.

Would you like me to carry on...

I almost didn't but this car.

I bought the car from Westway Oxford.

The car was serviced by Middlehurst.
Nice one. It just gives a more balanced view of HPC's. Westway (I think) have lost a lot of the original GTR team. Everyone seems to love Middlehurst but I've seen a few moans of late, possibly due to the sheer number of units they are shifting! Poor customer service aside (for the moment) has the car met with your expectations? Nissan GB need to be aware of your probs. If you haven't already I'd drop them an e mail. That optimisation service mileage leeway seems bizarre!

I used MH for my 6k service and y-pipe inspection ( ;) ) Concierge collected from London and returned the car. Perfect in everyway.

For my next service I'm going to take it to St Helens in person:cool:

On collecting the car from Westway the dealer principal "Rob" did explain that they had made a few significant changes to the way things are run now. Melanie in service is the reason i own this car now... she is the saviour of that place.
Ollie has been really helpfull since, and Rob has been honest too which is all really wanted.

As for the car meeting my expectations...

HOLY MOLY!! bear in mind previous cars, RS Turbos, both MK1 and 2, Cosworths, S2000, BMW E46 M£ Convertable SMG, this thing is like my "Precious" i cant think of anything else.. it truly is amazing and i am so pleased i stuck with the purchase.

Every time i drive it i am excited, so much so i let a little bit of wee out... :)

Middlehurst were VERY good and the hire car issue i cannot attribute to them in fairness. The guy who delivered my car back drove through the night to get my car back through the snow.

Westway have promised me a MUCH better service when/if i use them next time.

SNAP - Melanie saved me from cancelling (and she is not in sales but service).

Similar experience - it seems that the GTR sales specialists don't stay for long (there have been 3/4 in the last 12 months - Leon has just left I believe). Ollie gave a great handover of the car to me (believe Ollie is involved in much more than GTR's though). Could be better at Westway without a doubt - but OK.

I think what seems to be a major issue with many of the HPC's is the lack of communication! Nothing is so bad if you know what's going on!

Motorline in Tunbridge were terrible and had I not called them I'm still not sure I'd have been given a call to say my car was on its way! They were faultless during the handover so it's a real shame. They also had a change of personnel so it must be a common thing in the car sales arena. I can't believe GTR buyers are that demanding! Mind you, I don't think Nissan have helped much either. Hopefully they will get up to speed.

1200 service due in Jan so I may give Ancaster Bromley (new HPC) a chance to shine!

All that aside I cannot stop smiling at my purchase! :D It's bloody brilliant!

Optimization, what is the mileage
i would of thought 1300 max nowhere near 2-3k
that figure seems alot over the 1200 recommended:nervous:

I've nothing but praise for my HPC - Benfield at Newcastle - from ordering through to aftersales . My only gripe is with the cost of servicing , which seems pretty much HPC standard by the sounds of it , although Litchfield seems much more competitive and gets loads of good press...

FFS people, why all the worry all the flippin time??

The optimisation is a touch of housekeeping from Nissan. If t was 1k or so over would make no difference whatsoever.

To anything, warranty or mechanical.

Period.
