I assume you are talking with respect to PowerFC?
If so, disconnect one of them and you'll see the readings change.

hadn't thought of that!! sometimes I can be so thick...and then I was about to head out to the garage and pull the plug on one while the engine was running! Should be good enough to disconnect with merely the ignition on I reckon. I'm guessing the "check engine" light will also come on, as I've now realized that it comes on and stays on when there's a sensor fault.

I just done the same this morning mate.

Afm in my case was the one with the shortest cable ;) top one :)

thanks lads..i worked it out by pluging it out with ignition on and engine off.
Car was acting up the last few days..idling badly(sometimes cutting out)and missing when cold.I took off afms and cleaned them but to no avail..took them off cleaned them again,switched them around and refitted.

After a good spin all seems perfect again..rather strange
