Just a quick question.....
I assume AFM's when they are playing up will fail safe i.e mixutre will be richer as opposed to leaning out? From my mechanic days I seem to remember this being the case but, hey, thats going back to Bosch K and L jetronic systems. VERY high tech :chuckle: :chuckle:
I say this as it feels my car is verging on a rich cut every time the AFM's start arsing around.

Anyone have a definitive answer?

Depends whck way it fails, if it go low voltage it will go lean high voltage it will go rich, remember they also control the Ignition timing so they car could be running to much or to little ignition timing.
