Dear All,

Thanks to everyone on this forum who have patiently answered all my queries about this fantastic piece of motoring ingenuity.

Picked up my Premium DMG from Mill Hill London earlier this evening...wanted to say a big thank you to Michael Ryan and Stuart Griffith who both have done a sterling job in providing regular updates whilst I was waiting and performed the best new car handover I have ever experienced...very professional and thorough...I didn't even realise the tool kit was under the front passenger footwell.

Seriously though, for anyone considering a HPC near London - the guys at Mill Hill are top notch.

Some initial impressions:

* I don't know how I'm going to cope keeping the revs below 3500 - the car just begs to be driven hard...but I will

* All controls and switch gear clearly and logically laid out

* I like the Speed Camera warning working even when no navigation route guidance active

* Not too sure about the sensitivity of the rear parking sensors - just tend to bleep away even when no obstacles at the back...will test further tomorrow

* Nice to see Album artwork from iPod displayed on MFD

* Small rattle from rear passenger area - will investigate more to see if worth fixing

* Paintwork - again, very impressed with quality and depth of finish - Stuart even did a minor detail for me prior to collection - all part of the Service...I applied some RimWax to the alloys and plan to do a more thorough detail in a few weeks

Hoping the weather stays dry for a few more days....

Congratulations

Interested in your view on Mill Hill, as I am not yet feeling the love for London's nearest HPCs.

Michael is now Sales Manager and Stuart recently joined as GTR specialist - a total gear head like all of us and keen to go the extra mile for the customer....he was very open about the issues the car had once unloaded from the transporter - e.g. paint blemish on boot - ended up being excess laquer which he had seen on other cars and had a quick fix to restore...he also spotted other minor paint issues which were easily polished out.

I'm hoping this excellent service will also be mirrored in the after sales area.

Well done man, hopefully all that waiting will now seem worthwhile.
Enyoy but with moderation till your first thousand miles and then let the shackles come off and warp speed into the world.

Congrats man you will love it!

I hope you enjoy it, well even at 3500 you can do 106+mph an hour, so you should be fine, I have been told the car does such speeds:)!!!!! As for the parking sensor they can adjust how sensitive it is. As for the rattle in the back area its something to do with the rear brakes, there is nothing wrong, and from what I have been told its to do with the caliper fittings and the pads. But I have no brake problem, if anything the brakes are fantastic, a million times better than the M3 I use to have. Enjoy drive safely and the car looks stunning. Congrats may you have many happy miles with it.

I picked mine up from WLMG back on 2nd October, had the optimisation done 2 weeks later on a Saturday morning. Mill Hill arranged for the GT-R Tech to come in specifically for my car with less than 48 hours notice, now that is service.

Everyone who is dealing with WLMG for their GT-R purchase, you are in very capable hands, both in sales and service.

Congratulations to Prashan for finally taking possession of the beast, is very hard to restrict yourself to 3.5K revs, I know how much I struggled with keeping my right foot in check, not easy at all. :nervous:

It must be a different Mill Hill to the one I used then!
Do not regard them as professional in the slightest, promised a lot delivered little. Did not even stamp my book up after 1200 mile Service...tossers.
Used Middlehurst for recent 6000 mile service and found the experience much better although I think they are just too far away. I will try Cambridge or Oxford next. I am not hard to please but just will not suffer fools gladly.
So I am with Zed Ed on this one:squintdan:squintdan

The reversing bleeps are not from the sensors. On the Sat Nav cars, simply putting the car in reverse starts the most annoying beeps ever heard. My car doesn't have parking sensors, unlike my other cars, and you can be lulled into a false sense of security by the beeping. It is so loud, I wonder how the guys with parking sensors differentiate between the reverse beeps and the parking sensor beeping?
