I saw these too...
Gave Alcon UK a call as I could not get any info about these calipers on their website. Alcon said that a bunch of these calipers were 'disposed of due to a quality issue' (their exact words). They didnt go into detail on what the issue was but DID say that it was NOT a safety critical issue!!

Now I'm not suggesting that the Ebay seller has whipped these out of the bin and is flogging them but Alcon did say that these calipers were rather specialised and not something you would normally see on the 2nd hand market.

Person also said that finding spares for them would be problematic too...

Shame, as the prices are not to be sniffed at..

I'll try and find out if there are any known issues with this type of caliper as we fitted them to the XKR-S and a few other XK models. I remember looking at these a while ago at work and they do look like an impressive caliper. Although the disc that was used in the XKR-S application was 400mm and not 380mm as the advert recommends as being "ideal".

£50 for pads??

would have thought would be treble that surely? Discs will cost you about £500 odd for a pair.

My AP discs are £550-600 for a pair, pads are £150 to £200 bare minimum
Not that id ever replace them with AP ones, Performance Friction all the way :)
