Wasn't going slow for sure and the weather isn't the best, hope he recovers as it looks like the injuries seems serious by looking at the wreck.

Just to clarify - I know the owner. It wasn't a big power car.
And he wasn't going fast. Eye witness reports stated to the police. It was a series of unfortunate mishaps.

Let's not draw unncessary conclusions.

Doesent take much to bend a car.
30mph into a tree, telegraph pole or decent wall would do it.

From personal experience I can confirm frontal impact with an established tree is very effective at stopping a car. I was in the passenger seat and despite having crash helmet, full harness belts and a full roll cage, being decelerated like that is not at all pleasant. My lower vertebrae still play up some 40+ years later.

Thing is trees do not move, so if you hit it the whole energy is in you and the car. Hopefully the driver is OK.

Who had the TH1 r32 up in the highlands (endo I think was his user name )

he had an off from what I remember , again not fast etc was weather I think

anything can be fixed but health way more important

it’s slippy out there

I wasn’t going fast when I crashed my 33, it does not take much to do a LOT of damage.
