Anti-lag - as used on WRC cars.

How exactly do they work?

My limited understanding is that they operate by causing an ignition event (by using a separate designated unit) in the exhaust during "off-throttle" in order to keep the turbo spinning.

Surely this kills the exhaust though?
Can it be legal on a road car?

Do a search for posts ive made on it, explained it here in great detail before.

There a LOT of bullshit about it on here and the net too, so careful what you believe.

It can kill silencers (i used to see flaming bits of baffle rolling down the road at night with it on sometimes) but not break the actual exhaust.

Can kill turbos but its less bad for them than the common myth would have you believe.

Not even remotely road legal, and got me 750quid in fines from one tug from the police alone, and there was countless other times police were involved due to it.

Most ALS setups ive seen on road cars are crap, done so it makes the right noises but has limited effect.
