Not sure how good for skyline or gt-r rebuild but I believe he has a good rep on other jap marques. As advised above he has put a vq38 into an s15 which suggests some exposure to the tech.

He's a **** !! :D

But, in fairness he has done some nice work from what I have seen.

Im never particularly enthused by the latest greatest pop up tuner hailed as the next magician by some interwebdweebs that got a free rad cap !! But his S15 is an awesome looking thing and certainly goes well and his fabrication seems pretty decent assuming its genuinely all him for which i cant be bothered to check online or in real world either.

So if you can deal with his attitude, which some think means greatness, then go for it, he does have followers just like Tweenie did and I felt pretty much the same way about him, although he was a genuinely nice chap !!

Failing that you got Bob and Geoff at GBH in Colchester who I am obviously biased towards as he has helped me with everything since my GTR - 180sx, GT3, currently my RS4 and lots of others - and I dearly wished he had done that too instead of who did totally **** it up who are also still sort of in Colchester and who I hope never work on another GTR !! They are great and have done Skylines for donkeys years as well as every other Jap car you could think of, from new intercoolers to 2.4 Evo builds, you name it, they've most likely done it, even NSX's !!

Hope that helps.

Lives around 1/2 a mile from me and my work place isn't far from his.

From the work he has done and those I've spoke to it certainly appears he does a good job and he knows his stuff. On the skyline side of things If I had R32 - R34 I don't think I'd have any issues taking it to him for tuning and knowledge.

I can't comment on rebuild side of things as no idea of anyone who has had them done by him to be able to give any form of opinion.

To be fair I have never met Martin, I gave him a call on the phone a couple of months ago, he took time out to have a good chat with me and was very helpful. :)

I know the guys down at GDUK, down the road from Martin and they all say he definitely knows his stuff!

I went to his garage once and it was like a treasure chest of big power parts :D

I know the GDUK guys send cars there for mapping and he's a busy boy! Personally I would go to someone like RK, Abbey etc since they have a proven track record with our cars :)

he was suppose to remap my car but did not take place for some reason. he is/was trading in another forum as MB Autos. i heard he is a good mapper and knows link ecu well but not a skyline specialist though. he doesnt have a rolling road but does remapping on actual road the last time i spoke to him two years back.

if you are in doubt, why dont you just take your car to abbey, mgt, rk, etc. instead? mind you martin and the rest of the skyline specialist traders here charges same amount for remapping anyway, or if not, not by far.

and yes, anthonymcgrath (sorry if i spelled it wrong) had some works by martin. had a look at his project thread in the other forum

Right I went to see the 33 gtr engine built by Mb autos
Seemed very nice at first glance
The turrets were showing rust so was both rear wheel arches u could see the rust but it looked repairable.
Also the engine made a very loud ticking sound I was told this Is the exhaust manifold heating up the sound should go once warmed and it did. Apart from the rust was very nice can't seem to get the number for the people that repaired mookiestars rusty turrets

Whole car. Like I said looked nice but when I looked close rusty turrets and both rear wheel arches u could see the rust creeping in. Apart from that the rest of the car was clean couldn't see underneath through.
