A little backstory, I am an American in the USAF looking to purchase a R32. I have wanted one since I was a young kid and now I have the funds to purchase one. I went and visited SVA Imports... From Cambridge area (it was a decent drive, with traffic) I am new to GTR's as I know only the basics.

I Put a deposit down on an 1992 R32 GTR listed here:

Car is listed on SVA imports, It is the dark blue GTR, I cant use a link.

I was wondering if anyone lived in the area would be willing to meet up with me on the day to pick up the car (2 week wait for registration ect)

They promised to: Fix all window seals, as there was cracking. Fix the paint dings and scratches. and minor dent on the side of the vehicle. New timing belt, Fix the A/C and the Tachometer. They also said they would undercoat the entire vehicle.

They clearly state if I dont like the vehicle I can get full refund on my deposit.

Fist time posting btw, thanks again for any info!

Hi, welcome to the club :wavey:

Hm, if the condition really is like you said, it is probably the best if you look from another importers. I concur with the link given by previous poster, if that's the car, I personally think it is in a decent condition. You can find many cars better than that. This is my humble opinion though :bowdown1: I'm sorry if I offend you in any ways. :) I don't want you to regret your purchase without knowing there are other cars with similar price you paid but with better shape.

I'm not a R32 expert, maybe someone else can help.... try PM Matty32, that chap is very knowledgeable :)

This is the exact car. I am not offended at all! I did see the car the guy was trying to sell, as a matter of fact I will look at it again after I post this.

I know it has a dual plate clutch as you can hear the floater plate.

I am looking for specificly a 1993 or 1992 GTR, If I cannot stay in the UK I will be able to bring back the vehicle to the USA under the Classic Car (25 y.o) clause when/if I return. I would specifically be looking for an almost stock GTR with minimum mods so US customs dont Smash the car!! (sad day if that happend).

Well... That kinda sucks as I put down a deposit. Hmm... Anyone know where the user Euroexports is located? Also, are there any import specialists near east midlands/cambridge area? I am American but driving long distances with a 2 year old gets lame! lol.

Raef is a good guy,

Dont try and be "clever" or pushy with him and everything should be fine. He getsa lot of wannabe car traders and chavs trying it on and hence has a pretty short attitude with those types of people, which can come across as being rude or short tempered I guess. But he was always a good guy to speak to and very knowledgeable, does quite a bit of work on the cars himself as well.

I would hope that it goes smoothly and he looks after you.

Yeah, I mean the guy seems genuine! I would never try and get an attitude with him, I understand he is a businessman and I am a customer. However, I am dropping 15K USD on a vehicle that I want to make sure will last. (not to mention a Wife who wants to make sure we are making a GOOD purchase)

But, I am going to wait until I actually drive the car and I am sure he will be helpful in making sure its up to par.

Thanks for heads up though! Def not trying to "deceive" anyone, just want the right car!

I bought my R32 from SVA.

Those that have seen it "in the flesh" will vouch for how clean it is. A guy at work had also bought a R32 from them, just as clean too.

Nothing but good things to say about then tbh, although I'm sure there are also bad things said against them.

Trust me, I worry about this driving down 150 miles let alone from IRELAND!! I am really sorry to hear about that, R34 GTR?! Damn, your dropping some serious cash too.

I cant defend them in particular, but yeah, when I did pull up to the dealer no one helped me just had to wonder around and then ask (might be common in the UK?) Anywho, the guy that helped me did not lie to me, even when skeptical about the "clinking" when I pushed in the clutch (dual clutch, floater plate making noise). They are giving me new rims and tires (sorry tyre's) lol.

Opened the trunk (boot?). There was residual water no rust tho, promised to reseal taillights.

I think they are are ok.
There where a few issues with the paint work on the car that i did but but they painted all again and it was looking like new on the pictures.
They have invested a lot of time and money and on the last day they found that the car was to much dammaged to sell to me.
I think that most dealers would just have sold the car to me and would not be that honnest.
And they sell the car with one year of warranty
And the good thing for me is that they are very close to the eurotunnel and and it easy to get to them from Holland

I read your post before! That is why I am still sticking with them until I test drive it. That is why I made this post, I am noob when it comes to GT-R's so was hoping for someone to come out and help me evaluate the final product. Seem like good people, but just like in the US, anyone selling something that they make a commission off of, be weary.
