Had a look at the new Sony Network Handycam today. Pretty shocking how small it is...and the tapes for it are tiny! It communicates using Bluetooth with your phone and laptop PCI card....

its already available down here in australia.. the only problem is it uses a different dv standard, micro mv which means the tapes and output from the cam over bluetooth/firewire/etc is incompatible with that from other dv cams (minidv etc..) it also uses a lower bitrate than the other dv standards but its still a pretty nice cam

Well its not really aimed at replacing DV cams. Its just a funky new way of recording pics and mpegs and sending them via e-mail to friends etc...
Those tapes are incredible though!!
