Hi,

I am an owner of a 2014 DBA, bought it in Feb this year just before COVID hit and have since been a member of this forum.

My ArmyTrix exhaust recently developed a rattle. I got the car on the ramp and took the diffuser off. I discovered that one of the valves is completely stuck in the closed position and i cannot even move it by hand. The vacuum system is good as it does try to move the valve. This is the valve on the exhaust on the passenger side.

The operative valve on the drivers side rattles in the closed position only. It does open and can also be moved by hand.

Is there any one here who is expert in performance exhaust system and could help me potentially get this repaired?

Some links to the videos:

Thank you

Kind Regards
Abdul

Did you purchase it brand new or used? if new, the exhaust supplier should be able to help, as 9months use is nothing.
If used, suspect if you took it off and cleaned the valve, or even check the vacuum piping leading to the valve.

Apparently not uncommon with the Armytrix, Iain Litchfield warned me of this, really bad to go full boost with the valves closed too as creates huge backpressure.
Perhaps a good exhaust place could replace the valves for you?

Thanks gents. Its came fitted with the car. I have found a stainless steel exhaust specialist in the area who is willing to help. Booking in for next Friday. He knew pretty much straight away what I was talking about. Quite surprised this can happen with an exhaust system as expensive as this. Cars only done 15.5k miles from new.
