My Nismo plate holder has a couple broken teeth so no longer works as it should. How have people attached their front plate, is it straight onto the body work, or using a bracket/holder. Also what adhesive or product do you use to attach it as the plate im guessing would need to bend slightly to fit to the shape of the bumper.

I just use a real of double sided numberplate tape, its' 5metres of the stuff for about £4.

2 lines of that job done. Not a fan of drilling holes etc.

I also have a plate holder that attaches to the tow eye so if I attend shows and want a clean looking front I put that on so I can easily remove a front plate on arrival.

Also use double sided sticky pads which came with the plate, no probs. (170 mph wind tends to hold it in place, ;-) )

I imagine halfords would stock it yes.

Halfords do the small tabs bit of a rip off for what you get though.

I basically bought a roll of this DOUBLE SIDED CAR BODY TRIM BADGE NUMBER PLATE TAPE 12mm | eBay about 5 years ago and have used it to fit / remove about 15 sets of plates over the years.

Think Halford gives you just enough for 2 plates as it's small strips.

I bought all my Carbon lowers from KR they're Zele Replica parts basically shown here before going onto the car and in it's standard colour

My car is changing colour soon so I grant permission for you to fit them to your white car :chuckle:

Paul at PWPro did it for me whilst I was having a wrap down and the lowers were all removed anyway.

Having looked at it prior it's really not that hard, the side skirts you could do on your drive without any need to raise the car basically.

Regarding the rear thats again not to hard but need to remove a fair few bolts first, then as for the front you need to remove some bolts that you can re-use.

It's really not rocket science any 'moderately competent' individual with tools could do this without to much issue you can't really go wrong so in terms of body shop if they can't do it, they shouldn't be trading. There is no cutting, drilling, bodging of the bodywork or panels everything 'should' fit and line straight up. If it doesn't as I believe someone had an issue with a side skirt, KR will swap out a replacement anyway.

The halfords double sided numberplate tape did it for me :) Although i reccomend you get some help as it is really not so easy to get it on exactly straight and perfectly in the middle.. lol the GTR's shape in the front and back where the numberplate goes, just doesnt have any easy reference lines to help :/

I got my plates put by someone who has more experience doing it than me at over the rainbow detailers..

I always use double sided tape.

I hate dealers screwing self tappers into the front bumper.
Bad enough on the LEAF, but on the GT-R... :chairshot

Just did mine using 1mm double sided tape from Halfrauds. Just make sure you clean off all the old fixing pads and sticky residue from the back of the plate with something like tar remover and clean the bumper with the same.

To center it is easy, the front panel where you mount the plate is 38.6' Just deduct the length of the plate (mine is 12' ok i'm bragging) and divide the balance by 2. Which in my case was 13.3'. Measure this across from either corner and you'll have a perfectly centered plate :wavey:
