Hi. My R35 battery keeps on going flat in the winter. It's parked in an underground car park and I have no access to any power sockets.

Please can someone recommend the best for R35:
- Booster/Jump Starter
- Conditioner or trickle charger that perhaps doesn't need to be connected to the mains

So frustrating to call RAC and to be told they will tow it away!

My son is at unit and the old guy next door has a solar panel charger. Just enough to keep battery topped up and you dont really notice its there. I guess not much good in an underground car park. I know some solar panels will work with artificial light but not sure if that will give enough to keep the charger. i guess not?

Does the underground car park have any natural light close to where you park your car ?
If so, you could get a solar panel charger, and possibly extend the wire so that it reaches your car / battery.

There are several available for caravans / boats, that might do the job.

If you keep discharging the battery then it will quickly kill it after a few flat/recharge cycles. So if it keeps going flat you'll have to keep buying new ones.

I assume it keeps going flat because you don't drive it that often ? In which case, why not just disconnect the battery or fit a kill switch ? (A kill switch is a meaty switch that goes inline with the positive battery lead).

So you open the bonnet, use the kill switch and close the bonnet again. Of course, you'll have to use the mechanical key to unlock the car so you can open the bonnet again to operate the kill switch.
