Nice vid but why he doesnt test these fixed coilpacks.. I was hoping to see where the spark goes after fixing.

Not realy... this is the answer:-

The spark energy 'has' to go down the spark-plug as there is no other conductive route out.

Besides, there is NO downside to fitting these, none.
I think the Dielctric paste deals with the root of the problem shall we say, in that the coilpack material is broken down over age causing leakage to the nearest/easiest/least resistance path to earth (i.e. the coilpack rail). The Acetal coilpack rail, as you've mentioned, prevents this by being non conductive.

Id say its worth doing both..belt and braces and all that!
