Is anyone running the Alcon big 412mm set up from LM motors.

Its expensive but im running over a 1000hp with only uprated pads and slotted discs. They are ok,but not inspiring with that power.

Cant stretch to the ceramics, but just after some feedback on the Alcons.

Many thanks

Never used them personally but I recall Alcon having problems with cracking bells leading to failure?

Hmmm , better search for quality than cheap ones! What else is on the market? google for some reviews and get your own solution
The Alcons arnt cheap,i believe on LM website they are almost 6k.

Not sure whats really on the market, ceramics are about 20k. I dont mind spending a few thousand if theres a big improvement.

What pads and discs you using? I found the AP Racing hooks good and I have ceramics (purely cause I got them cheap second hand).

I hade them put on mine around 6 weeks ago.

The feel is a little softer due to the increased diameter brake lines, but you soon get used to the feel. Stopping power is epic and feels very balanced; doesnt feel over braked on the front when braking hard from high speed and general braking around town feels normal. I dont get any squeal and braking from cold is very good.

I've done around 1300 miles on them so far.

Have a look at the AP Radical set up, they get very good reviews and are a decent price. Contact Tim at Circuit Supplies for the best price on these kits.

The sweet spot for the evo 400/400.
Thought they were the quickest things on 4 wheels 🤣
Sold my IX GT a couple of weeks ago on Collecting Cars, that was running 530bho and 500lbft from the 2 litre engine. I’ve still got an Evo II tucked away in my unit.

Sorry to run away from the OP original post but I think the Audi/VW platform is now the best for 2.0 ltr/AWD/automatic. I have an s3 stage 1 and its a brilliant package.

BTW a blast from the past old map on my Subaru STI from Powerstation :-D 360 bhp :)

Thats good torque on a 2lt

I had a 2.3 stroker 564/515 silver 6. Sold her just over 2 years ago as Auto torque who specialise in restorations said it was going to cost between 12 and 15 k to repail the underside. Sold it with an honest advert for 9 k and 2 weeks later it was advertised for over 20k !!
