my actuator pipe split and my turbos overboosted then the car started to smoke worse on idle, removed turbo pipes and found full of oil. removed turbos and cant see or feel any play so sent them to turbo specalist who want £675 for each turbo to repair but there not sure whats wrong untill they take them apart. the problem is are they worth repairing? they're 25/40 hks jobbies and at £1350+vat to repair its cheaper to replace?

is there a cheeper place that could repair my turbos?

do i buy new turbos? if so what turbos?

heres my spec it made 480 at the hubs

nismo engine
hks v pro
3 layer intercooler
hks full piping kit
700cc sard injectors
hks fuel rail
sard fpr
tomei 260 cams
hks fuel pump
hks pullies
hks 2540 turbos
hks turbo elboes
hks filters
unknown exhaust
de cat
hks down pipes

i would also like a bit more power later on, about 650hp so need turbos to cope

Is it a standard 2.6 engine (nismo engine?)

If it is, were you getting alot of Turbo Shuffle with the 2540?

If you don't mind the shuffle, then I got a feeling getting a set of GT-RS might be worth it. Not too sure how much they are in UK, but it should be around the same area as your rebuild price and I think GT-RS is more responsive than the 2540.

when i rang them on prices for turbos they were quite expensive try turbo dynamics and always the cheapest turbo technics, there rebuild prices are normally £625 all in, play them off each other!!
