I'm planning on viewing the following car tomorrow. Does anyone have any knowledge of the car in question and/or the sellers (RS Direct). The condition looks impeccable. The only thing that is worrying me is the number of owners. The cynic is me thinks that 4 owners in ~6 years is a bit disconcerting. Is this normal for R35s?

Used Nissan Gt-R Recaro Edition | Performance Direct Bristol (Ltd) -

Thanks

If it's from RS direct its probably a corker, their reputation is spot on. I personally wouldn't worry about the owners, whats to be cynical about? Unless theres a problem with the car then theres nothing to worry about

High number of owners could indicate some technical issues in my opinion, or it could indicate that the people who owned it couldn't really afford it (therefore indicating they couldn't afford to maintain it). The service history of the car should help enlighten you :)

It does say the last owner had it for four years which is a positive. The advert alleges it has FSH so hopefully I'll be able to get some insight there. Thanks for the replies thus far. The more the merrier though.

I got my gtr from them 1.5years ago, the cars are presented well and they were very straight talking, I new info about the car from previous owners and asked questions and they were honest. Gave me the confidence to buy it as they seemed ok.

My car has being brilliant. It needed a service within in the rs direct warranty soi took it to Litchfield an told them to check it all over, they gave it the thumbs up

My car is a 2011 DBA and im owner 4, nothing wrong at the car at all so number of owners is nothing to worry about. Check the service any questions ask them. I walked around my car about 4hours tryin to decide whether to go for it, they didnt preasure me really and id have another car from them no problem at all

Number of owners doesn't put me off with high performance cars as long as it has the service history and been looked after. Many people buy them to have for a short time so as to tick it off the bucket list then cant justify that amount of money sat in the garage or the running costs for only using it for a few thousand miles. My last EVO had a high amount of owners and was nothing wrong with it and the guy who bought it wasn't phased by it.

That's chaps. Gutted I didn't make it to see this one as it was potentially number one on my list. My car broke down 40 miles from home. Managed to pull into a service station off the motorway at 10.20am. I only got home at ~5pm. What an aweful day. It's soul destroying waiting around for so long doing nothing. Hopefully I'll be able to get down to see it this week. If my other car breaks down on route it could be an omen however!

In performance cars high owners can simply mean people got bored of it and moved it on after a year. I know quite a few people who do this.

I found this when looking for mine, also lots of services with few miles between them as they don't get driven as much.

I finally got down to Bristol on Tues last week to see this car. It was in impeccable condition for a 6 year old motor, so down went the deposit and I picked it up last Fri.

The drive home from Bristol to the NW took 5 hours due to traffic. It was the best congestion I've every experienced :D

The acceleration from low down is brutal. Love it.

I would do but it seems photobucket (which I used for years) doesn't allow you to embed photos anymore; unless you pay of course. The 'upload file' function on this forum doesn't seem to work for me either. Any suggestions for a decent image hosting site?

Tried that but for some reason I couldn't get past the 'uploading images' stage. It might be something to do with the security on my work's laptop.
