GTROC EVENTS CALENDAR ENTRY
Norman Park
Hayes Lane
Bromley
Kent
BR2 9EF

After a few years of rest the GTROC make a rather last minute return to the Peter James Insurance Bromley Pageant of Motoring which is still the biggest one-day classic car show in the world! The Pageant is established as something of an institution amongst enthusiasts from all over the world. Where else would you find more than 3,000 classics in one place! It is a superb celebration of this wonderful way of life - a true flavour of a by gone age - and provides one of the best opportunities available to soak up Bromley's unique atmosphere of friendly club stands, displays and fellow enthusiasts. This year's Pageant is building on previous years and promises to be better than ever with a number of added attractions, making this a great day out. The Peter James Insurance Bromley Pageant is famous for its one-make section where vehicles of each make and model can be entered and parked together. From Ford Cortina's to Aston Martin's more than 1600 cars featured in this area last year. Each car that that is exhibited also received an entry plaque.

There is so much more with a huge Cars for Sale area, brand new Classic Trunk Trading section, all day Live Music including performances from Rockabilly band The Houndogs, Fun Fair, Steam Engines, Trucks, Motorcycles, Modified Cars, the list goes on AND not forgetting one of the biggest classic vehicle trade shows in the UK with hundreds of Autojumble stands, and trade stands including the latest products, parts, services and new vehicles on display.

We have booked a display for ten of the finest GTROC cars to be on display to the public and other exhibitors with tickets on a first bought, first entry basis open to GTROC Members as well as users of the GTR Register Forum. All that we ask is that your Skyline or GTR does not look like its been part of a demolition derby!

Tickets will be in the GTROC Online Shop on WWW.GTROC.ORG shortly and then add your name below via cut & paste with your shop invoice number once you have purchased your ticket to guarantee your place. This is a superb yet very relaxed day out

Cars need to be on the stand by 08.30am on Sunday morning and cannot leave the stand until after judging at 05:00pm.

If enough people come along we will also sort out a summer BBQ or picnic at cost as well :)

TICKET INCLUDES YOUR SKYLINE/GTR, DRIVER AND ONE PASSENGER ONLY.
ADDITIONAL PASSENGERS WILL HAVE TO PAY ON THE GATE.

I think we stopped because of low turnout which is undertandable

But if people still want to go and there isnt a club stand the choice is dont go or go with another club/forum as jack and i did.

I was there with SOC the year before and they put us and GTROC together.

One Big Happy Family I say.
Yes, I think in 2012 the GTROC and SOC stands were adjacent and in fact, partly by mistake, drivers from each club parked on any stand.

In 2013 only the SOC attended with a well subscribed stand.

As i remember (and i was running the stand on the day that year) they had loads of cars and we only had a few - 20 ish to 4 or 5 springs to mind so we spread all the cars over both plots and as shaft said everyone got on and it worked really well

It would not work at every show but maybe at some non jap shows especially the bromley pageant we should think about at least asking for plots next to each oher or dare ii suggest it put alll the skylines ( and stageas) together on one stand.

Joint stands are a good idea IMO.
Nice to get all the GT-Rs and Skylines together. :)

The killer for me on this day is the 8:30 - 17:00 rules.
It's too long a day to bring the family at nine and a half hours.

I'm sure you could sneak out around 16:00 ... I did one year :)
The reason they do it is that so for M.O.P coming in at 2pm which happens there isn't a half empty field!

In truth nobody takes much notice of this rule. People stay cos they want to

Every stand is a marked "square" in the fields . Access is need to get on the stands so there are walkways wide enough for two cars leading to every stand

As Kriss said the "cant leave" is to try to stop people leaving too early.

Besides there are no officials policing the area just at the entrance by which time its too late to send anyone back. . People do come and go but the deadline helps keep the show busy untill later

One year the pageant was on the same day as an England game and the place emptied by 3pm .
