sorry, this got kinda lost in that other thread...

Great pictures Shin...just asking...that is tape on the carbon fibre bonnet covering the 'gills' correct? Well what happens when it does rain, and the rain goes in those gills (as they're quite big) what would result? Or are they normally covered up when it rains? OR it doesn't matter how much water gets in?

Hmm,

Hi,

Thank you for your question.
Please do not ask me such a difficult question to answer in English for me. :D
Well, I taped it at night before we went to bed to save the engine from any water.
Usually, the car has been kept in garage, so I don't have to do that.
When I drive the car in rain, I do not cover the vent with tape.
It is only when I park the car outside in rain.
But when I drive in rain, I have to tape the air intake duct underneath the bonnet to avoid wetting of air filter.

Yours,
Shin

Thanks a lot Shin...

Does this go for all gilled-carbon fibre bonnets?
What about a gilled-carbon fibre bonnet with 'shutters' which automatically detect rain and closes it so you don't need to put tape on the underside of it?? :D
