My car has bronze 17" TE37s and I hate the color on a silver car...

I was told that i can strip the pigment with a product such as an oven cleaner and have them recolored or even polished.

Any experience with this?

I guess it would be smarter just to trade for a rim i liked better then to try to refinish the Volks...

mate, I think gold or brone look the best of anything on the Silver!!! I have Sparo's (BBS LM style) that I am going to paint Gold (centers) and polish the lip.

i have 18" white te37's but want to paint them bronze, looking for a similar colour to match them!
