Following on from my thread about needing new tyres..

I've worked out that a set of tyres last about 3-4 track days tops.

Given that I spend most of my time looning, getting the back end out and generally losing grip as much as possible.. is there a cheaper alternative to SO3/SO2s ?

Otherwise I'm going to have to budget about £200 in tyres per track day !

I know SO3/SO2 are famed for their prodigious grip.. but I don't want that !

Speak to Blowdog...

I'm sure I read on his site that he fitted Continentals for about £330 for the set... Sounds like an unbelievable price and I can't find the details as it was written on a page about a track day a while back...

Geez gibe bracknell tyres a ring

for the falken FK 451s.
Shin has just put them on his R34 so can't be that bad. Very popular in Japan and I rate them for the money = 380 fitted.
But who am I to talk!

Sorry, I'm being dumb..

I understand where you can get them for £125 fitted (i.e £500)

but the other posting says Shin got them fitted for £380

I'd be interested to know where I can get them for £380, not £500
