Thought you might look...
this may sound a bit pikey but could be great for track days and running slightly lower budget for tyres...
I have found a place in london that does tyres for skylines whether it be 245/17 or 265/18.
Ok they are "second hand" but appear to have good tread, are guaranteed and tested and are VERY cheap...start around 30 pounds for the 18s!! for sth from Dunlop (SP 9000) or Michelin Pilots.
Worth a shot especially if you are looking for cheaper tyres or a particularly heavy right footer or slider and will wreck them anyway.
Shout me for further infos! PM pref or email: [email protected]

yep, there is a place in Bristol that do the same, the problem is they will have one goodyear, one micheline, one dunlop and one falken (etc) in the size you want - no good for handling, but great if you knacker one tyre...

Be warned... I wrote off my Nova due to "high quality" part-worns.
I fail to see how you can blame writing off your car on the tyres. Did you have a blow out?
