Dear Skyliners (and soon to be)
I have decided to stick this under General Announcements as I believe it is quite an important, and interesting, issue for us all.
As of today ABBEYMOTORSPORT are now co-owners of my Bayside Blue, R34, T6KYO.
This car will now form the basis of Abbey's 2002 RB26/Skyline development. And rest assured performance WILL be an important issue.
Mark and Tony have over the past year found it very difficult to concentrate on running/developing their own Skyline due to the phenomenal work load that they have been receiving. As customers of theirs will know at times their are well over 25 Skylines at their premises in various states of Tuning, Repair, Servicing, Bodywork etc., and therefore over this winter they will be putting into place strategic planning for 2002 which will of course benefit all their existing and new customers alike.
My role will not include me being employed by Tony or Mark but I will be their 'man in the field' so to speak. I have attended many varied meets this year and will be very active in 2002 as a representative of AbbeyMotorsport. Mark and Tony will of course be going to as many events as possible. Work load permitting of course.
From my own point of view. I have been an Abbey customer for 18 months now and have seen nothing but enthusiasm and dedication from these guys in all that time. It hasn't mattered if a customer has had a blown fuse, massive engine rebuild or just a chat on the telephone for advice they have always been so helpful and downright friendly. These qualities formed an important part of my decision to begin such a close association with Tony and Mark. I will be promoting them in 2002 and I would not enter into an agreement with any party on a providing basis if I was not 100% confident of the 'product' that I was associating my name with.
Their enthusiasm mated with mine will I am sure produce something special. I am always 'up' for trying something different ,that you can see/pleasing to the eye, and will be continuing to do this :smokin: . As for the Engine/Ancillaries etc., this will be handled by Mark and Tony (phew thought I might have to get me hands dirty
.)
Abbey now have their own 'Showcase Skyline'. At last
.
See Ya.

ps. Mark and myself are travelling to Tokyo this Wednesday on a 6 day look/see trip and hopefully I'll be able to get on the board from an internet cafe in Tokyo so I can keep up with whats goin on......
