Dear Skyliners (and soon to be)

I have decided to stick this under General Announcements as I believe it is quite an important, and interesting, issue for us all.

As of today ABBEYMOTORSPORT are now co-owners of my Bayside Blue, R34, T6KYO.

This car will now form the basis of Abbey's 2002 RB26/Skyline development. And rest assured performance WILL be an important issue.

Mark and Tony have over the past year found it very difficult to concentrate on running/developing their own Skyline due to the phenomenal work load that they have been receiving. As customers of theirs will know at times their are well over 25 Skylines at their premises in various states of Tuning, Repair, Servicing, Bodywork etc., and therefore over this winter they will be putting into place strategic planning for 2002 which will of course benefit all their existing and new customers alike.

My role will not include me being employed by Tony or Mark but I will be their 'man in the field' so to speak. I have attended many varied meets this year and will be very active in 2002 as a representative of AbbeyMotorsport. Mark and Tony will of course be going to as many events as possible. Work load permitting of course.

From my own point of view. I have been an Abbey customer for 18 months now and have seen nothing but enthusiasm and dedication from these guys in all that time. It hasn't mattered if a customer has had a blown fuse, massive engine rebuild or just a chat on the telephone for advice they have always been so helpful and downright friendly. These qualities formed an important part of my decision to begin such a close association with Tony and Mark. I will be promoting them in 2002 and I would not enter into an agreement with any party on a providing basis if I was not 100% confident of the 'product' that I was associating my name with.

Their enthusiasm mated with mine will I am sure produce something special. I am always 'up' for trying something different ,that you can see/pleasing to the eye, and will be continuing to do this :smokin: . As for the Engine/Ancillaries etc., this will be handled by Mark and Tony (phew thought I might have to get me hands dirty  .)

Abbey now have their own 'Showcase Skyline'. At last :).

See Ya.

ps. Mark and myself are travelling to Tokyo this Wednesday on a 6 day look/see trip and hopefully I'll be able to get on the board from an internet cafe in Tokyo so I can keep up with whats goin on......

Glen,

Kept that one quiet :)

Sounds interesting and I look forward to ways that we can all benefit from this co-operative effort. It is always good to see and compare cars that have been through states of development that you intend to also go through in the future.

Good luck in Tokyo, don't forget my shopping list and make sure you return with what's hot and what's not in what is by definition, the Skylines hometown. Rest assured also, that you are being accompanied by someone in the know :)

Watcha Cem.

Only started talking about this a couple of days ago. So I didn't know when we met around my place with Jamie. God that name makes me SCARED     . Also Spookey was how we all ordered the SAME meal and drinks, and then went out and got in 3 of the same cars. Also how sad is this. I only went back their the following night and had the same meal  . Albeit with me missus and Warren.

As you know from our chats I am always interested in doing something slowly and with a point so what ever I do hopefully all interested will benefit someway or another.

Yeah I've got your list Cem but I don't know how I'll get on with bringing two geishas back :D .

Bye bye?

Er Glen,

Does this mean this will be your last post:confused:  :(

Because obviously you are now part of the industry.

And we all know the rule about advertising.:D :D :D ;)

We're just going to have to find another over inflated ego for the board now.:D :D

Nice one Glen mate, sounds wicked.

Look forward to seeing how the car develops over the next year...should be an awesome machine (as if it ain't already !!!).

No doubt i'll see it a fair bit as i'm at Abbey quite regularly (as you already know).

If i don't see the motor there, then i guess i'll have to get off my ass and get to more shows, and meets.

Have fun in Japan :)

I'm looking forward to their future venture into car-fashion & softporn now that Glen is onboard.:p

Dear All

Nice to see positive responses from fellow Skyliners/mates.

As we spoke about this year it can only be a good thing getting another tuner out their doing the business in a Skyline and Abbey just ain't got the time to do it full time and let's face it we all want to see 'em out their with a dedicated Skyline. Don't we .

As for Japan. Roppongi, mmmmmm have heard a lot about that area but for the sake of the board I will go and check it out :D .

Will be meeting DCD as well so I'll get some 'head shots' of him so we can all see what he's like. No point in me getting carried away with pics as DCD does a fine job for us but I'll be snapping away all the same(thanks for the loan of the camera Warren.)

Am also hiring a car out their  to try and track down some of the Street Racing, and to hopefully follow DCD and his pals down to Mount Fuji for the Nismo Festival that is on Sunday. Bet I get a bloody Micra or something  .

Keep well all.
