Hi

Might need to change my coilover on my r34 gtt

Advice given so far is avoid tein and d2 .
Instead go with b2 racing or mieater r or driftworks

Now the question is should i get pillow ball topmount rear and front?

Would you gain anything by using inverted dampers

What is the meaning of 30 way damper adjustment

You would have 30 settings each corner?

Many thanks

The 'way' in '30 way' just means the amount of different settings that you can make per damper. Some are adjustable in bump and/or rebound and may have more than 1 adjustment point. For most cases you would want the same settings per axle..

As for brand, I couldn't comment as I have not used any of the ones you mention. Just need to do a bit of research and see what fits your needs best. I mean that, theres no int in buying a 30-way adjustable damper if you're never going to need the adjustment or tuning capability....

I have tein flex on my r33 although it fairly firm its not uncomftable or bumpy, you can't compare drift works to meister r or bc racing. If it was me I'd go for meister there very well priced for the quality of the suspension and support is great. That's what I will be going for in the end any way, hope that helps

First, what do you use your car for?
Is it a fast road car / occasional track day use?

Second, what is your budget?

Depends on what you are looking for, because adjustable suspensions allows for a range of usage.
But it is much easier to make recommendation if you have a target to aim for. :)

So let us know and we would be better able to make recommendation.

For track days use occasionally maybe 1/2 times a year . Mostly street use

Budget around 700 max for all 4 corners

If that is the case, the MeisterR Zeta-S will do.
£699 RRP, and with the 10% club discount that goes down to £629 delivered.

Tried and tested, comes with 1 year warranty if anything goes wrong from us.

I'll spend an extra £25 and get a pair of damping extension cable, as the rear damper is difficult to adjust as it is behind the seat.
Not necessary, something nice to have for the R33 / R34 owners.

On the R34 GTT Zeta-S, both front and rear are aluminium top mount with harden rubber bush.
You cannot adjust camber via the top mount on the R34 so the rubber bush help reduce noise.

Damping are 32 stage adjustable, and will get you something that is compliant on the fast road and responsive on the occasional track days.

I have looked at most brands and they come with pillow balls . Does none of your kits have this fot r34?

We provide Pillowball on the Zeta-R for the GTR.
It give a little more response, but at the same time give a little more noise.

On the GTT Zeta-S, we keep the rubber bushed top mount to help reduce noise.

Adjustable camber top mount only work on McPherson Strut suspensions, such as those found in the S13 / S14 / S15.
On a double wishbone suspension like the Skyline, the camber can only be control through the control arm.
That is why if you want to adjust the camber, you will need to purchase adjustable control arm.

In most cases, I know many who run without adjustable camber arms because if you don't lower a huge amount, the gain in static negative camber is actually a good thing.

Here is a picture, the newer springs are black instead of red.

If things go wrong and need replacement, then we will replace it.
Say the damper fail (which really is the only wear and tear part), then we will replace the damper core unit.

We do accept Paypal, you can make your purchase here:
