150 across all the cyliders?

Mine was 160ish across all the cyl. But it also depends on the cams, and if they are adv/ret what you'll get, can bleed of comp.

Getting the same value across all cylinders is more important than actual value (within reason) imho, especially as HG is non-standard and head's been skimmed etc.

How do cams come into it? (Genuine question; I'm always up for learning)

I agree with you ru', even across .

Adv/Ret of the Cams changes over lap, the time that both the intake and exhaust are open at the same time, which can bleed off compression. It all depends on how it is set up, and of course the size of the cams.

Obvious when you think about it; cheers for clarifying! :D
