I've been doing alot of reading pertaining to lowering compression ratios (ie. 8.1-1, 7.9-1) in order to run higher boost levels. My question is, how would this ultimately reflect in a compression test ?? I have read that stock rb26dett came from factory with engine compression around 176psi. What about a freshly rebuilt 1000hp rb26 using a compression ratio of say 7.9-1 (if this is possible). My car has approximately 700hp and runs quite happily at 2+bar. I've never done a compression test on her but would like some kind of benchmark....Cheers if you can help......Kev.
