It's that time of the year again.

Sorry to bring this subject up under chit chat, but it will save me time going through all the previous posts.

This years renewal is up another 20% from £801 to £963.
This is through Footman James with AXA.

Can anyone beat this price, and who with ?

I look forward to your answers

Cheers

Chris :)

Jesus, I bet it does Durzel.

I'm 23 with Privilege with 4yrs NCB, restricted mileage, and mine is bordering on ridiculous.

The only thing that has ever made me think about selling the car is whn I have to fork out for insurance - This week as it happens.

£963 for a skyline doesn't sound too bad really when you consider that my non descript rover with only 200bhp costs around £750 a year and i'm 30 with full NCB so although it feels dear in relation to mine it's got to be worth it. BTW when i bought the flat cap mobile 3 years ago direct line woundn't insure me till i was 30.

I pay it monthly which softens the blow somewhat, but when you think what you could buy for the car with the money... well, it gets a bit annoying :) I guess you don't really have that problem Simon since your car is already pimped up to the max anyway! :D

Hi - I've just been around this loop too... the best I could get was £835 via Osborne and Son 08453396001 - underwritten by Link Motor Insurance

I'm a bit older than most of you guys but I only pay 550 quid with Groupama. 6 years protected NCB and Nil points and mileage restriction of 4000. Two named drivers plus Cat 1. Whilst I actually live in the Far East my car lives in UK and is a pretty much standard R33GTR.

The previous insurance was with Norwich Union at 980 and what made the difference was that I had owned the Skyline for over a year.

What are you talking about Durz? You know that there is no such thing as 'the max' ;)

Chris,

Try CHEAM INSURANCE on 0208-7701001, ask for Mark Abbott.

They specialise in Skylines, have a word they were the cheapest for me and I started a new policy from scratch with no NCB.

Thanks for all your comments,
I'm still collecting quotes from the above and others.

So far, a couple are a little less than £963, one of them requires a tracker to be fitted, 5 points on my licence counts for at least £80.

I will post the results in a few days.

Thanks again

Chris :)
