Hi guys

Having some problems getting the crank gear off to change the oil seal. I need some suggestions? Pulley and that came off without a problem but this has me stuck. The engine in the car. Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Sometimes it just needs some help, so grab a few big hose clamps and do them up really tightly around the gear.
Then use a 3-jaw puller grabbing on the back hose clamp.
With luck it will break the bond before the hose clamps start slipping and then the gear will slide off.
If not then drill and tap your gear to suit a 2-jaw puller. Toss that gear once it's off.
Toyota's come with the gear drilled/tapped ready to go, but not Nissan.

Drill and tap 2 6mm holes diametrically opposite and use a puller.
I have seen oil pumps damaged leading to subsequent failure with damage caused by lever bars and brute force!

I've resisted the temptation to get the levers out because of that. I'll try tapping some holes out and get the pullers on it
