When I ordered the GTR I was certain I would remove the NISSAN badge from the rear, but haven't been able to do it.

It doesn't look that bad !

What has everyone else done? Removed it or left it where it is?

Hi Jon,yeah me too ,was convinced i was going to move the gtr badge into the nissan space, and do away with the nissan badge, but i dont mind how it looks, and i think i would feel bad that having made such a monu-MENTAL car, that i wasnt doing the company justice by not showing that this car is a NISSAN!!!!look on with envy porsche, audi r8,beamers etc!!:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::wavey:

I took mine off as soon as I got it home. If you know it's a GTR the you know it's a Nissan and if you don't then I wanna see the look on your face when you ask "What is it".

Plus it still says Nissan on the alloys centre caps.

That said I had no M3 badge on my M3 and no Carrera badge on my 997 C2S

Why remove it it looks nice... represent! :) And some people speculate why other people remove the badge is bec. their not proud that it is a Nissan or something. And since many people now knows the what's the GTR is all about, no use on getting people to guess what car it is. Heck! when I asked my 8 yr. old nephew and he's friends what their favorite car is, they all answered GTRs! from R32 to R35!...sheesh kids nowadays.

Only reason i've taken it off is, IMHO the car looks cleaner and the back is easier to clean now

I have a black one coming, and am thinking of taking the badges off to give it a cleaner look. Nothing to do with not wanting to admit its a Nissan.

I'm pretty sure there are photos up here somewhere of how it looks, and it's good :D

On my to do list for today actually.

Going to remove both the Nissan and GTR badge from the rear.

Actually also thinking about taking the GTR badge off the front as well???

My reasons are fairly straight forward, the car will be much easier to clean without them, no other reasons.

My reasons are fairly straight forward, the car will be much lighter without them, no other reasons. (promise)

Cheers Scott - i might just do that when i've got my car :)

I saw a storm white go past Pollock Golf Club as i was standing on the first tee - that wouldn't have been you?

Whoever it was, was probably in the 2nd phase of running in - i.e using high rev :D

I've got a black black ed coming (i know crazy fool, i'll never keep it clean etc)

It might have been me, but can you prove it???? :chuckle:

Let me know when you get your car, happy to nip across

Yeah black with black is going to be hard work, very worth while getting it professionaly detailed and getting a regular maintenance type package with it to keep on top of it.

Even new expect the car to come with some swirl marks, great when they are clean black cars but need keeping on top of.

I use Paul at ULTIMATE SHINE - Car Polishing & Detailing Specialist - CALL 07951938177 and he has done a fair few GT-R's now.

My car is in just now, pics and full post to follow ASAP.

Once i get my delivery date, i'm going to get Paul to detail the car before i pick it up. At least that way it will look nice at least once.

But to be honest, i'm not that car proud! Sad to say! I tend to like driving my car than polishing - lazy fekker than i am :D
