To all,

Would someone tell me what a de-cat is, what work is involved in having one and how much (ball park) it would cost. Also, what additional performance I would get out of my R33 GTS Non-turbo.

Thanks chaps

PS Dont get to technical because big words bother me ;)

its when you take the catalytic converter out or replace that section of exhaust with a normal length of piping. spose they'd cost about £200

guaranteed to fail MOT. and police do roadside checks so will catch you that way too... and give you a nice fine :(

great for turbo cars, releases far less bhp for NA cars... make it sound nicer tho :)

Decat pipe from AMBER performance are £60+VAT ,
supposed to give a minor increase in power due to a less restrictive flow .

Thanks guys for your feedback :)

I'll get the power figure first (like Gary said) then see if it would make any difference.

Don't need to improve the exhaust noise, it already has a very deep rumble already :D

Cheers again

Claire,

You could get that power figure on dyno day, is it still on?
Yep sure is. Let's get Xmas/New Year out of the way and we can arrange a date in Jan or Feb. This will be for GTS's only.

Will call you to discuss details soon.

Thanks
Claire
