We all read about ratios , the Mines R34's etc.

I lo wonder what options are out there to make it even better in this , what do people have that is different from standard?

How do you find it , what do you suggest?


My aim is to improve response and make it as edgy reactive as possible.

Gearing is just one element, Mines went further into minute detail to optimise their package. For a start they use a std ecu remapped, at times in their demo cars use a staggered cam profile 260/10.2 inlet and 252/9.5 for more low down mid punch. Their crank is fully knife edged again reducing weight and use a 8.5inch clutch, and a carbon prop to help get the car rev fast. They prefer to use HKS 2530 turbos and have payed extra attention to head work.

It is not a simple case of bolt on low ratio diffs.

i understand that , this was not about the mines car but just that it is well noted the effects that ratio changes in the drivetrain heavily altered the cars performance.

So to continue with some more direct queries , what options do people run ? How do they find them ?

What suggestions do people have for an R34 GTR V-Spec 2.6l , V-Cam, HKS2530 set up with mild head work etc......
