Ive been saving up for ages to but an r34gtr and now i have the cash.:D
Now heres the bad part. I have a company trade policy that insures me for any car worth 15k. I rang to higher the value to put an r34 on and it was a complete non starter, the price was ridiculous. So i have a 20k limit. Not buying an 34 and insuring it for that and i dont really like 33s and 32s are too old. What other car should i get? been thinking of an evo fq 320/330... I only have the car for a toy so practicallity isnt a problem (within reason) however it has to be able to carry 2 sets of golf clubs, even if only on the back seats.
Any ideas please?....
Editted to say sorry for putting wot.

Always liked evo 6's but most either have poor history or are an unrealistic price IMO. I remember watching the evo 6 extreme on top gear years ago. I think their around the £20k region though and i couldnt pay that for a 6.

I would do but im 26 next month and have no no-claims what so ever. It would cost well over 2 grand a year and would have to remain standard. The joy of the trade policy is it could be 600bhp but i wouldnt pay anymore, thus i never built up my own insurance.....

I have a similar problem with my motor trade policy, I can drive customers cars and any car that I own, except for a Japanese import:rolleyes:

So I had to start a fresh personal policy with zero NCB - Ouch!!

2 years later it is down to £941 with all my mods declared and with 500bhp I don't think that's too bad.

I may know of someone who's gonna be selling an absolutely MINT Evo Tommi Mak for a bargain price. They're around the Warrington area so only 40 minutes from Liverpool.

PM me if you want more info ;)

Adam,

Have a look at R34 GTT's, with some minor mods they can muster 350bhp. Some good GTT's out there for sub £15k.
I think if i had a GTT then i would always hate myself for not getting a gtr. If a 33gtr came along for cheap money then id probably go for that over a 34GTT.

Is this limited to Jap cars?

RX7? supra TT? subaru

Not a bad position to be in really though... What car can i blow a wad of cash on that doesn't need to be practical - the worlds your oyster!

No not just jap cars. I have access to my mrs's car and i also have an escort van which i use more than anything so thats why it doesnt have to practical as such.
Its a lot harder than you first think.....

what about a big power escort cossie?
Mt current car is a 380bhp escort cossy. Had it for 3 years and want something more reliable. Its never broke down but you have to pay more attention to a cossy than other cars. I had an impreza before that and although it was slow it was totally faultless in 12 months.

I think id raise a few faces if i went playing golf in that car. Smart tho.... The 7th car is a pajero..... i presume u meant the xtreme.:D

Vx220 and elise's are hair dressers cars IMHO. They would make very interesting track cars though.:D

mx5s are hairdressers cars, no one who's ever driven one of those how they are supposed to be driven would call them a hairdressers car apart from the K-series original elise junkboxes

Try it :D I was of the same opinions
