Regardless of how big the sump is, the oil level is the oil level. The dipstick denotes the lowest the point the oil level should be in regards to the crank.
Min level is to make sure the pickup stays submerged and doesn't just hoover air up from the sump. Max level is to prevent excessive crank windage.
If your extended sump uses a different pickup level then the minimum mark loses accuracy. Although if the new pickup sits lower than the old one then the low mark is now safer than it used to be if the new pickup sits higher than the old one then you might want to worry!
Mel, we have the same engine, I went with the above, pretty sure I used just under 9ltrs
