Have to agree, there are some poor cars out there.
Which are priced like others that are good.

Peronally all you can be happy with is the price you pay.
If life has taught me anything, it's that after you have bought there will always be someone that has done better. Quite often there is a reason why.

Prices are crazy, I paid in Feb 2012 - £36k for a 59 Reg GT-R (Nav model) on 19k miles.

I look at posts like this over 2 years on and see 09 Reg GT-Rs on 30k miles going for same price.

I think its maybe it's because the brand new cars are slowly creeping up in price, the resale value on the older models is staying strong??.. As wasnt the MY09 like £55k when new?

my12 prices from £74.5k .. my13 is from £76,610 and my14 is from £77,995

my14 brochure

Anyone got the 09/10/11 prices? for a comparision

The GTR is the only car I have ever owned (or am likely to own for that matter) that I could probably sell for more today than what I paid for it over 2 years ago.

The GTR has now been out a while now, the new price keeps on creeping up and the changes year on year are getting less and less significant - hence the retained value of the older models. Long may it continue! :)

The car NELLEE bought was mine and personally i think it is worth every penny of what he paid, but then yes of course i would say that.
When pricing my car i looked in the pistonheads classifieds to get an idea of what they are going for and feel mine was very fairly priced.
If you look there now there are only 3 cars slightly cheaper than what mine sold for,all with far higher mileage and probably nowhere near as tidy.
Like i said Neil,it wouldve helped if you had viewed a few other cars first and you would've realised the kind of crap that is for sale out there. I still cant believe some of the rubbish i looked at and that was two years ago!

As far as im concerened the only way to say what a car is worth is to see what similar age/spec cars are selling for and not what people on a forum say.
And even then you cant really compare like for like untill you actually go and look at the cars in person.
Yeh no what you mean Neil, i conceder myself lucky that i didnt need to tour the country looking for cars. Personaly i am still happy with what i paid, if i had the choice again i would still pay what i did..

Like others have said theres always someone who got a better deal!!

They are incredible cars with incredible residuals...the fact that you can get warranty from the likes of Litchfields that cover their mods and the manufacturer stuff makes them even more desirable

It seems to be the same with alot of the "performance" nissans these days, s13s, s14s and r33s for instance have rocketed in the past 6 months r34s seem to have stayed pretty much where they are (bad for me as i have an r34 gtt for sale) but nether the less surely its a positive that their increasing in value?
