Its fair to say that the last 2 yrs have seen a fair few outright jap drag cars start appearing on the scene anyway. quite a few people are buidling for 8s drag only cars over the winter.
Well said Tim, Full Respect to you.I'm not doing anything to the Duke car, it's fine as it is.
If they won't let me run at Pod I'll just go somewhere else or not bother.
Danny BTo run faster than an 8.49 or quicker will require a tube car in the 2007 ruling, its states in the email thats the rules being run are from the 2006 rule book but basically in 12months time what was a 7.50 car will become an 8.50 car. this has effected many drag cars as even many of the supermod cars running box mainrails and CDS tube work will no longer be legal despite there class weight limits not requiring a light cro-moly tube car.
I've done quite a number of things to the engine since I last ran at the strip.Dave, where did the 409bhp come from?last i heard it was just over 300.
Well done mate! Hows the grip these days?
Mick, love the avatar! :chuckle:
AndyHaving read through the rules that concern our car, if we were to compete we meet all the regs 100% with Fuujin.
Andy
Well that would be OS Giken screwed as well and bye bye to most of the other competition.Andy
I see that it says in the rules that you must maintain a OEM block
I dont think you will find that a HKS high deck block is a OEM nissan part.
Best of luck
Bye Now
I think that if you look into the 3L OS Giken engine you will seeWell that would be OS Giken screwed as well and bye bye to most of the other competition.
Would be interested to see what happens to the likes of Dave and his Drag'Mera as its not using the OEM block anymore. Its an SR20DE rather than whatever it is Micra's usuall use.
Also the Focus Cosworths out there. Some of those are on Escort Cosworth Engines and running gear.
Matt Hadland on the 200 block.
etc etc...
These are all top competitors in their class so i guess they better voice their opinions sharpish!
