As many of you know Alex has a wealth of driving background, at various pro. levels.

It was my confidence in him and meeting him that made me want to learn to drive my cars to MY fullest potential.
We sat down and had a long talk while about what my expectations are and where to start.

I do love my GT-Rs and through this conversation I kept staring at his R34 that was in the middle of being rebuilt,
when he asked me what Id like to learn in, I jokingly said "that" pointing at the shell.

Now I have always loved track days, the relaxed atmosphere I think is perfect for learning to drive a car FAST,
while still not being so worried about competing, and chasing tenths of a second. I love driving, and being able to know my car,
and know my limits. I wanted to learn where they were.

So I decided it was time to put together a track day car,
something with the potential to be very serious when the time came,
but with the main idea of having a car with a LOT of space to grow in to...
SAFELY, and have tons of fun doing it.

conveniently enough...he had a beautifully caged shell of my all time favorite car sitting right there...:nervous:

Lets begin in the middle, since we are all aware of this cars rebirth from the ashes ;)

Finding a shell of a 34, at this point of construction,
in it self would have been challenging, from the amount of
work he put in, you could tell he really had a love for this car,
no one would just do this for the hell of it.
So my idea was broached and agreed upon.

I took possession of the car at this point...
Alex, being at another level than me, had some major power plans
for this car. Frankly putting something with his power levels in this,
and then expecting me to drive it was too intimidating,
Id probably end up in a wall..or through a wall. So we changed directions a little bit.

Since I haven't had the pleasure of driving a sequential,
and we were not looking to put crazy power at the get go,
Alex had his 'old' ;):D OS88 that I bought to go in to this.

Our Serious bits showed up, since i want this car to basically live on the track.
I wanted to be able to learn how different geometry setups would
change the way a car drives and feels, I thought having too much
adjustment was probably better than not enough...

The engine was 'downgraded' to a HKS Step 2, and the turbo I picked was a GT4088.

We have some more plans for this car, and I will update as it happens.

Amazing build up. Thats attention to detail and even from the pictures I can see that is a high quality build.

Just out of interest was the car taken back to bare metal? and also kind kind of underseal did you use? Most people use that horrible black stuff but this looks more like that you get from the factory?

What a great looking car and build. Very professional and puts some of the so called projects to shame.

Looking forward to seeing how this car develops. :)
