Well the plan was to take the engine out today.... That was the plan easy right?? Well everything is off. All sensors clips hoses gearbox bell housing bolts. Front prop passenger driveshaft. But
I'm stuck on the drivers drive shaft. I know it's meant to just pop out. But It
Won't haha. Has anyone got any tips? Please?

It is fiddly, there is a circlip in there.
You just need to get a small pry bar or screwdriver in between the shaft and the edge of the diff casing and pop it out if I remember correctly

Ill give it a whirl again. Already tried a pry bar from wheel arch side. Needless to say it didn't work.

It is pretty tight, as it has to seal the oil in the diff, not like the other side.
Try one from each side of the shaft, so it pulls it out straight, if you get what I mean??

Finally done!! What a bugger. Ended up suing a keyboard from the top and a hammer and pry bar from the bottom, just popped out needed that extra pair of hands.

Maybe you should sue your keyboard after that comment lmao. Though i fear it was probably a predictive error. Anyways glad you got the shaft out :D

I just did the drivers side axle on my R32. I have done it on many, many cars in the past, but this time I took some pics. Will stick some in here for future reference.

Nissan Skyline GT-R s in the USA Blog: Cleaning and Axleing in Long Beach

Split outer boot.

This shows how I got the axle free on the right side. There isn't much room, but one or sometimes two pry bars, and a hammer can pop the axle free. There is a clip in the front diff that retains the axle.

I have my car jacked up on the right side. However the front diff may leak some oil if the car is level. After a couple of good hits, check and see if the axle is free.

I find it easier to remove the diff cover. I've never been successful any other way, but then again, I don't own any pry bars....

I just don't like the smell of gear oil. The less I have to smell it the better. Clear the outside end. Couple good smacks with a hammer and pry bar and you are good to go.

I did the engine in the R34, when we were racing it, something like 13 times in about 8 months.

you know what reading this brings back some memories.
I had a problem with my drivers side drive shaft on the front diff.
I tried all kinds of things and all kinds of crows feet etc.
the drive shaft can be a pain but the method that works is this .
Get some one to pull the drive shaft and keep tension on it but make sure they are pulling as straight as possible and I mean it must be pulled dead straight to ensure you are putting the correct pressure on the circlip inside on all sides 360Deg.
then using a spanner or screw driver give it a pry using the diff casing it will pop out easy but if you beat it and it comes out at an angle it will never ever come out and you will end up damaging the boot and everything else including your fingers !!!
