Hi there:) I have recently brought my 2010 Gtr, It came with this exhaust set up already installed on it which was brought and fitted from Lichfields.

It consists of-
Milltek Nissan GT-R secondary CAT bypass ***8216;Y***8217; pipe

Milltek Nissan GT-R secondary CAT bypass non resonated assembly

Milltek Nissan GT-R CAT back link pipe

Milltek Nissan GT-R CAT back rear silencer assembly
I am not sure what this system is, is it a whole complete exhaust?

It sounds very nice on acceleration and to be honest I was amazed how quiet the system is, especially on idle considering the size of the pipes etc, having come from a V8 with a full non resonated miltek system with 100 cell sorts cats, which was loud but sounded very good.
I'm after something a little more loud/lively without spoiling the exhaust note,or making it have too much drone.

I have spoken to Lichfields who were very helpful and are going to email me some options I have, and they spoke about the down-pipes and maybe changing the back section?

Has anyone had downpipes fitted and regretted them? for any reason?
I like the sound of the Titan exhaust, but would mean I get left with the miltek unless I could p/ex it against one,

Any advice on people who have had a similar set up and changed it?

cheers

Downpipes make the GTR :) Personally, I prefer the quieter exhaust for most of the time (hence a silenced ypipe), but the downpipes bring the car to life after 3200rpm. Sound great.

Only down side, is with ypipe and downpipes done, you have no cats. Ypipe can be changed at MOT time though....

Is the drone that bad? Its only a car for the weekends, so I don't need to do long journeys etc, my Rs4 had a drone but could avoid most of it by changing down a gear ,

There was a touch of drone on the non-res milltek ypipe 67-72mph in 6th gear, but not a great deal. I just prefer quiet exhausts for slow calm driving and louder for hard driving

I can do you a great deal on our 4" stainless or titanium systems, they sound great plus if you want to tune your car further in the future the exhaust won't give any restrictions.
