Realised that theres something odd going on with my wastegate, not sure what make it is yet but think its an HKS one and will check tomorrow.

Basically even with the dual sbc turned off its boosting to the moon !!! Any thoughts why this would happen ?? has the SBC been piped up wrong and is stopping the wastegate from working properly ?

This is my first car with an external wastegate setup and a big single so any advice would be appreciated

Sounds like a vacuum hose might be off or split causing the boost to go as high as it wants too. Check out all the vacuum hoses by squeezing together and looking for leaks.

Yeh was thinking something along those lines myself mate, or possibly the boost controller not fitted right as I think it may have been reinstalled and moved from one part of the car to another. Its very possible the guy put the hoses back on the wrong way round ! LOL

Just off out now to investigate so hopefully its an easy fix !
